In short: we collect only what we need to confirm your booking, keep the building secure and meet Egyptian legal requirements. Identification documents are kept offline on an encrypted drive. We share them only with building security and with the Egyptian authorities when the law requires it, and we never sell your information.
1. Who we are
This policy covers the Maadi Nile View apartment in Maadi Stars Towers, Cairo, owned and managed by Samer I. Hassaballa ("we", "us"). It applies to this website, the guest dashboard, and your booking and stay.
2. Information we collect
Booking inquiries: when you use the direct booking form, we receive your name, email address, stay dates, number of guests and any optional extras you tick, such as airport transfer or a tourism package.
Identification documents: for every occupant we collect the full name, passport or national ID number, country or nationality, and a copy of the document. Where Egyptian regulations require it, we also collect proof of relationship, such as a marriage certificate.
Booking and messaging details: information you give us through Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo, email or messaging apps while arranging or during your stay.
On your device: the guest dashboard saves your favorite places and your unlocked state in your own browser. This stays on your device and is not sent to us.
3. How we use it
To answer your inquiry, confirm your reservation and arrange your stay.
Building security and guest registration: your name, passport or ID number and country are provided to building management and security so that your arrival can be verified and everyone in the building stays safe.
Legal compliance: to meet our obligations under Egyptian law, including guest registration requirements for short-term rentals.
To issue access codes only after identity has been verified, and to respond to any issue during your stay.
4. How we store and protect it
Identification documents are kept offline on an encrypted drive. They are not published on this website.
The private sections of the guest dashboard (check-in, address and Wi-Fi) are encrypted and need a guest password.
No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access.
5. Who we share it with
Building management and security: your name, passport or ID number and country, for registration and security.
Egyptian authorities: guest identification details are provided to the competent authorities as required by Egyptian law.
Booking platforms: if you book through Airbnb, Booking.com or Vrbo, that platform handles your booking data under its own privacy policy.
Form processing: our website booking form is processed by Formspree, which delivers your inquiry to us.
We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.
6. How long we keep it
We keep booking and identification records only for as long as needed for registration, building security, your stay and our legal obligations. After that, they are securely deleted.
7. Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We may need to keep or share some identification details where Egyptian law requires it, and we will tell you if that applies. To make a request, contact us through the booking form and mention that it is a privacy request.
8. Third-party content
This site shows content from other services, including YouTube videos, the Matterport 3D tour, Google Fonts and Google Maps links. These services may collect technical information, such as your IP address, and set their own cookies when you view or use their content. Their own privacy policies apply.
9. Changes to this policy
